This set of 4 cups & 4 saucers are hand painted and able to fit into so many different dinnerware sets. In perfect condition, they’re speckled- almost splattered with gold, hence the name. Each cup has a brown leaf, green foliage and darker brown stems. The handles are brown and twisted giving a tree branch impression. The matching saucers mimic the pattern of the cups, creating the perfect collection for display and daily use. Each cup measures 2.25” tall has a 3.5” diameter and is 4.5” long. The saucers are 6”x6”. This pattern was first produced for Metlox in 1959 and continued to be available to the public until 1979. Hallmark - "Woodland Gold Poppytrail Metlox Dishwasher Safe Hand-Decorated Made in Calif. U.S.A." Sold as a set of 4.

Metlox Pottery was a manufacturer of ceramic housewares, located in Manhattan Beach, CA. Founded in 1927 by Theodor Prouty and his son Willis it was named Metlox Manufacturing and began as a company making outdoor signs. After Theodor’s passing in 1931, Willis renamed the company, Metlox Pottery and began producing dinnerware. The company closed in 1989.

Approx Size: Each cup measures 2.25” tall has a 3.5” diameter and is 4.5” long. The saucers are 6”x6”.

Condition: Used - Very Good: A very well-cared-for item that has seen limited use and remains in great working condition. The item may show extremely limited signs of wear.
